Welcome πŸ™‚

The image on my page is of a piano on fire.  The words painted across the front read

                Time doesn’t matter, only life.

This quote is inspired (because no matter how often we watch it, we still argue about what was actually said)  by the 1997 movie The Fifth Element by Luc Besson.

The quote reminds me that all things will always change: small hands we held grow big, and our strong hands grow papery and stiff, and this can feel overwhelming.

There is One who is unchanging, and also the author of life. This One (who is also three) is my anchor through time and change, and this One gave me life that is unbound by time.  Patiently and so kindly the 3God is drawing me towards life, reminding me of what eternally matters, and unveiling beauty where I least expect to find it.

Drawing away and drawing toward – this is the dance I’m in. Sometimes I feel a bit seasick, othertimes exhilarated, most of all I’m happy to be crossing over because where I’m going is more in Him than I’ve known before.

One of the greatest joys in the journey is when I’m reading the Word and the Spirit begins to hover over the page and everything lights up and comes alive and I meet people I never knew before. I’ve started to write these encounters as little stories, and wanted to share with you what I’m finding-as-I’m-found. Each story is connected with a letter of the Hebrew Alphabet: 22 stories for 22 letters. I’m fascinated by the letters. They seem alive to me. Vibrant and multi-layered. My stories only illustrate a little of the glory they each hold. I’m hoping that what I see will draw you in, so you can encounter and see and help me to see more.

Maybe we can cross over together.

“With a bottle of rum to fill my tum, and that’s the life for me”
